Latest News!

Early June, we were given the very exciting project of fitting a totally standard 2 litre Honda S2000 engine into Adrian Lester's Mk35. We were very impressed with the quality of the engine and its components and it giving a very strong 235 bhp at the flywheel. The debut outing - without time to test, at Rockingham, Adrian put the car on pole and won Sunday's Proto race. It was pulling a glorious sounding 9100 rpm after going flat through Turn 1 ! This has already resulted in a lot of interest as an ideal engine for the exciting Proto class.

Sept' 2011.The latest Mk36 de Dion Mallock had a great result in the Snetterton 300 round of the Open Sportscar Series in the hands of Jonathan Hair. Lapping considerably faster than more powerful cars including Jade, Nemesis and Radical, Jonathan achieved a very creditable 3rd place overall. After Snetterton Jonathan wrote;"All in all the Mk36 has fantastic corner speed, great traction and is phenominal under braking and is so engaging to drive on the absolute limit. It is worth noting that we are still running Dunlop crossply tyres and a free diff. We still have work to do and I am confident there is more speed to come from the car..."

August 2008; SilverstoneMallock celebrated 50 years of being in production of Mallockrace cars. Over 50 Mallock models took part in parade laps and most of them raced in 2 dedicated races, a scratch race and a handicap race.Organised by the Mallock Club and run by the 750MC, the day was a great success. Many drivers from over the years came along and reminisced over the old times with lots of great stories to tell!

2012 is to have an interesting line up of drivers appearing including returnee Mike Lane, new A Sport contender Spencer McCarthy, newbies James Clarke and John Walton, Mark Charteris in a Proto Mallock (when not racing the Classic) and Steve Everson in his own arrangement of a Mk29 Proto Mallock.

A new mini-championship has been created for Classic Clubmans consisting of 5 races - 3 x one day and one double header inside the full Classic Clubmans Championship. The 3 one day meetings are to be hosted by the HSCC, see the 2012 Race Calendar page for more details.

An interesting development for Mallock Sports in 2012 is the building of a road car. It will be a replica Mk10, the only purpose-built Mallock chassis designed for road use and passenger comfort. It will feature a full width roll over bar, a 4" wider chassis and axle and wishbone pick ups to accomodate a higher ride height. The car will be competing in Classic Sports Car Racing.
